Merry Christmas and a Day in Italy

We were able to celebrate Christmas a little early. Olivia enjoyed the paper ripping as much as the toys.
We also spent a day in Italy. The drive was gorgeous. We also had quite possibly the best cup of coffee of our lives at Cafe Piccolo. Mmmmm.

Ready for Lunch

Six Months Old

Today Olivia is six months old. We did not bring the ducky with us - we will have to take a picture when we get back. To celebrate, we gave her chocolate banana baby food. Yes, the baby food over here is VERY different. So far Olivia has tried zucchini baby food, pumpkin baby food, and various fruit blends.

Around Town

We have been having a wonderful time. Olivia is being spoiled rotten by Papa, Nana, and Aunt Hannah. We are trying to get over the jet lag (although Bob is still getting up in the middle of the night here to watch the Red Sox in the World Series).

We walked around the town where Bob grew up, Telfs. This is a picture of his Kindergarten.

Today we went to the zoo. It was full of Alpine animals and beautiful landscaping.

Yesterday morning we began our trip to Austria to see Bob's parents, aka Nana and Papa. Olivia did so well! She played in the airport and smiled at lots of strangers.
We had a 5 hour lay-over in Philadelphia. Bob got a hat in honor of his Red Sox making it to the world series. We also saw the Liberty Bell made out of Legos.



We then flew all night long to Munich. I had prayed that Olivia would sleep the whole way, and she did!
Nana and Papa were very excited to see us.



On the way home from the airport we stopped to see Aunt Hannah at work.



And of course we couldn't leave without getting some coffee! Nobody serves coffee like the Austrians! They serve your coffee on a platter with water, cream, sugar, and a snack. Mmmm.
