We're Here

We made it! And all of our stuff made it! We are pretty worn out and a little overwhelmed, but we are also excited. The people from church have given us a warm welcome and have been very helpful and hospitable.

Bob's first Sunday went really well. He spoke on 1 Peter 1:3-5. He also started his other job this week. We are praying that the church will grow quickly so he won't have to work on the side for very long.

I am trying to get settled so we don't have to live out of boxes and suitcases forever. Our apartment here is very nice.

Olivia is doing well. She's been a little fussier than usual, but part of that is due to teething. She misses her Aunt Sara, Uncle Dan and cousin Peter very much and can't wait to see them in a couple of weeks. :-)

Here is Olivia in her Easter dress. She is sitting in Daddy's new office.

An Open Letter to "Eric"

Dear Eric,
I do not know you, and I don't think you know me. Apparently you have mistakenly given out my cell phone number to A LOT of people instead of your own. From what I can figure out, you are in some type of sales or purchasing and you might have had my number printed on your business card. (I googled it and you don't have the number on a website anywhere.) I have received at least 12 calls for you in the past three days and countless calls in the past months.
So, if your name is Eric and your business is dwindling because no one is calling you, PLEASE make sure you've given out the correct phone number.
Sincerely,
Janelle

Back to School

I survived. Olivia survived. And yes, Bob survived.
I still consider myself a full-time SAHM, but I've started doing some substitute teaching to earn a little extra money. So yesterday, for the first time, I was gone all day long. Bob had the day off so he watched Olivia.
I had a great day with the students and got a great refresher on the Constitution as well as ancient history. I wasn't as helpful to my Spanish Level 1 students. If it's not "taco" or "bell" I'm lost...
Meanwhile, Olivia took a long nap and ate lots of sweet potatoes and rice cereal for Daddy. I'm thankful for my husband. He is so good with Olivia. She is quite the "Daddy's Girl."
